Youth Pool Activities

POOL SCHEDULE 

Family Swim
Swimmers under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the water.  Family swim is the perfect time to come in and play with your family. Children can demonstrate the progress they are making in swim lessons. Also, the parents can reinforce proper swim skills and safety awareness. Family swim is open during swimming lessons. See Instructional Pool Schedule.

Recreational Swim

The pool is open to all swimmers. Non-swimmers and children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult and be within arms reach. Children under 15 must pass a swim test to swim unaccompanied in the main pool. Children must pass a slide test before using the pool slide. See Instructional Pool Schedules. 

    
                                        

Water Slide

For use by swimmers who can pass the swim test (jump in and swim 30 feet unassisted, demonstrating confidence and breathing skills). Slide is open during scheduled times. Water sports

Kids Mini Triathlon
(Ages 6-14) Swim, bike, and run with us in our third annual Kids Mini Triathlon. Event will be held in August 2012.  


Seals Swim Team and Porpoise Swim Club
This recreational swim team focuses on having fun while improving stroke technique, building confidence, and learning the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Learn More

 

   

Youth Water Polo
This energetic class will emphasize swimming ability, conditioning, basic skills and teamwork. The class is open to boys and girls. Participants should be able to swim a 50 yard crawl stroke with their head up and tread water for a minute.
