Swim Lessons
Parent/child (6 months-3 years)
Children learn water skills through fun games and exercise in the pool. Parents must be in water with child during classes. For more information contact

Beginning Shrimp (6-20 Months)
Parents demonstrate the ability to work with child on swimming skills, sing songs and have fun in this water acclimation class.
Super Shrimp (12-24 Months)
Parents assist their children in learning how to enter and exit the pool, float, practice swim skills, sing songs and play games. Must have completed Beginning Shrimp.
Kippers (21-36 Months)
Parents assist their children in acclimating to the water, entering and exiting the pool, float, basic swimming skills, sing songs and play games.
Advance Kippers (24-36 Months)
Children continue to explore the aquatic environment by building on their swimming skills with the help of their parents. Must have completed Super Shrimp or Kippers.
Inia (24-36 Months)
Children begin to transition to working more one on one with the instructor while parents are still in the water for support. At this level children should be putting their face in the water and floating on their own. Must have completed Super Shrimp or Advance Kippers.
Perch (24-36 Months)
Parents assist in the instruction of a beginning preschool type class so the child learns skills without separation anxiety. Must have completed Inia.
AGES 3-5
Children are in the pool in small groups, unaccompanied by a parent.
Pike
This beginner class focuses on water adjustment, floating, and basic swimming and safety
skills. The main emphasis at this level is to help the child develop safe pool behavior, adjust to the water, and develop independent movement in the water.
Super Pike
This class is for experienced Pikes! This class continues to develop basic floating, kicking and gliding skills. Child must be able to submerge their face under the water as well as float on front and back with assistance.
Eel
This class is for swimmers able to submerge, float, and move without assistance. Focus will be on early crawl strokes and breathing techniques.
Ray/Starfish
This class is for swimmers who are able to swim early crawl strokes with basic breath control. Focus is on deep water adjustment and refining crawl strokes, as well as endurance. The elementary backstroke is introduced.
